Everton's Richarlison has claimed he had the opportunity to join either Manchester United or Barcelona in January but didn't want to leave the Toffees half-way through the season.
The Brazilian international joined Everton from Watford in 2018 in a deal worth around £50m and he has impressed ever since, scoring 26 goals in 70 appearances in all competitions.
His fine form has seen him linked with some of the biggest teams in the world, and speaking to YouTube channel Desimpedidos Richarlison admitted there had been strong interest during the January transfer window.

"But the club opted to keep me in the group and I didn't want to leave in the middle of the season. It's bad to leave team-mates like this."
When pressed on the interest from Barcelona, Richarlison added: "Of course you feel impacted, Barcelona is one of the greatest clubs in the world, but I think happiness plays its part as well."
It remains to be seen whether any teams resurrect their interest in Richarlison in the near future, but in the meantime he will no doubt be desperate to help the Toffees finish the season as strongly as possible, with Carlo Ancelotti's side currently sitting in 12th place.(Image: JON SUPER/NMC/AP POOL/EPA-EFE/REX/Shutterstock)

He recently hit the headlines by claiming Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk is not as good a defender as some people think, saying: "People talk a lot about him, yes he is a great defender but I’ve already dribbled past him."
But despite his claims Richarlison was still unable to make much of an impact in the Merseyside derby on Sunday, missing two good chances as the game ended in a disappointing 0-0 draw.
